Since opening in 1989, Riverhouse has built a reputation as a high quality arts centre servicing the community as a not-for-profit organisation. We are proud of that reputation and will continue to build on it in the future. We provide a year round programme of events which includes drama, chamber music, traditional and modern jazz, children’s shows, cabaret and art exhibitions. We also offer a variety of classes in arts and crafts for all ages, adults, young people and toddlers.

I have had a long association with Riverhouse Arts Centre and Susan Segal and it provided me with an invaluable platform for performance when I was starting out. It is so important that places like Riverhouse flourish, to give valuable opportunities for up and coming talent.

One of the best rooms on the circuit! I love coming to the Riverhouse Barn – the audiences are heaps of fun, the staff are lovely. It’s a joy to play. Wish I could come more often.

One of my favourite gigs in the country. So much fun to play – I imagine it’s fun to go to as well!

My partner and I have been appearing at The Riverhouse Barn for over 7 years. Why? Because The Riverhouse Barn attracts a enthusiastic and theatre loving audience, has an intimate atmosphere, has an ideal location AND its own car park! It is an efficient and well run venue, and is one of the first dates we put in our book every New Year.
