Join us on a fascinating journey through time, exploring the past and looking into the future, at our unique two-day event on 28 and 29 October at the Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, Walton. For the first time ever, Elmbridge u3a has drawn together an intriguing range of talks and presentations on diverse subjects, aimed at offering our members something different. Choose from a smorgasbord of delicacies that mean you can book for just one event or for an entire day.
Entertaining Troops - Stories from the Theatres of War tell the story of how, during one of the darkest times in history, the show still went on. Whether through the work of the Entertainments National Service Association or when, in 1944, a Noel Coward play premiered in a prisoner of war camp, entertainment persisted even in wartime.
Presenter: Pete Allen, Director, RC Sherriff Trust
Booking required.
Friends or partners who are not members of u3a are also welcome.
