The New Orleans Jazz Bandits play jazz in the classic New Orleans style. The band was originally formed in 1956 by Colin Kingwell and has continued under the leadership of Ron Rumbol since Kingwell's retirement in 2017.
The Jazz Bandits are known for their authentic sound, which draws from both vintage and modern jazz styles, including gospel and folk songs in the style of early jazz legends like King Oliver and Jelly Roll Morton. The band has a wealth of experience, with members who have toured extensively in the UK, Europe, and the U.S., and some who have even performed in iconic New Orleans venues like Preservation Hall.
