Sherriff Talk - Elmbridge In The Spotlight – A series of talks about musicians, actors, artists, authors and cultural figures who have lived and worked in Elmbridge

The borough of Elmbridge is a place with a long and illustrious past, an historic landscape of royal palaces, stately homes and gardens, thriving towns and vibrant villages full of social and cultural diversity, which has attracted an extraordinary array of artistic figures. These three Talks looks at some of the famous (and infamous!) artists who lived, loved, and worked here, revealing their artistic, musical, poetic, and romantic, often scandalous, occasionally scurrilous, but always intriguing, stories.

Elmbridge In The Spotlight - Cecil Hepworth And The Birth of The British Film

This Talk looks at the life of one of the most influential of all Elmbridge residents, Cecil Hepworth. Producer, director, writer, scenic photographer and film-maker who became one of the most respected and dynamic figures in British cinema.
