DUO DESTINO – THE VIRTUOSO GUITAR DUO THAT ALWAYS LEAVES YOU WANTING MORE
Back at The Riverhouse for the third time — and guaranteed to thrill.
By overwhelming popular demand, Duo Destino return to The Riverhouse for their third electrifying performance, bringing with them the exhilarating FlamencoFusion sound that has captivated audiences across Europe.
Fresh from the soaring success of their latest original composition “Heartbeat”—a vibrant, cinematic track that has resonated with listeners across the UK, France, and Italy—guitarists Ben Bruant and Will Cashel arrive at the peak of their creative power.
A Sound Bigger Than Two Guitars
Virtuoso guitarists Ben and Will deliver a musical experience that feels almost impossible: dazzling fingerwork, rhythmic percussive techniques, and an infectious energy that fills the room. Their sound is so rich and layered, you’ll swear there are more than two musicians on stage.
World Class Musicianship, Born in London
Since meeting at the Royal Academy of Music in 2011, Ben and Will have forged a partnership built on precision, passion, and a shared love of reimagining familiar music in bold new ways. Ben Bruant, from Le Havre, trained at the Conservatoire National de Paris and completed a PhD exploring guitar legends such as Castelnuovo Tedesco and Segovia.
Will Cashel, from Bath, won a scholarship to the Purcell School of Music at 13 before continuing his studies at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Ben and Will met at the Royal Academy of Music in 2011 and have since performed across the UK and Europe, including appearances at Glastonbury, the Liverpool Philharmonic, and the Bahrain Grand Prix. They have played for the King of Spain and Prince William, and their music has been featured on Scala Radio (now Magical Classical), BBC Radio 2, and the podcast My Wardrobe Malfunction. Their latest original composition, Heartbeat, has recently enjoyed remarkable success in the UK, France, and Italy.
Music You Know — Transformed
Their performances blend original Latin inspired compositions with Flamenco infused arrangements of well loved songs. From Albeniz to Daft Punk, Dire Straits to Frankie Valli, and the unmistakable spirit of the Gipsy Kings, Duo Destino invite audiences to rediscover familiar tunes in ways they’ve never heard before.
A Duo With Heart
During the pandemic, Duo Destino became a national symbol of gratitude by performing 70 free concerts in the gardens of NHS workers—a heartfelt gesture that resonated across the UK. Since then, they’ve performed for the King of Spain, Prince William, and on iconic stages including Glastonbury, the Liverpool Philharmonic, and the Bahrain Grand Prix. Their work has been featured on Scala Radio (now Magical Classical), BBC Radio 2, and the hit podcast.
