On this course we’ll be exploring the mosaic crochet technique but this time in the round. We’ll be making mosaic blocks which can be used to make a zippered pouch or box pouch.I have designed a selection of different motifs that allow us to practice some of the different mosaic stitch techniques that are unique to working in the round. Skill level: Intermediates or improvers Students must be confident with basic crochet stitches such as:chainingsingle crochet (UK double)double crochet (UK treble) All other techniques will be taught in class.
As well as my guidance and hands on practical work, the course includes detailed class notes with photo tutorials and access to videos that go over key techniques covered in class.
Materials required for a flat zippered pouch: 2x 50g balls of cotton dk in 2 contrasting colours, such as Yarnsmiths DK Cotton3.5mm and 4mm hooks8″ / 9″ ZipLocking stitch markers (small ones are best) x 8scissorswool or tapestry needlereading glasses if needed
