Serendipity is the art of finding something beautiful without seeking it - that lovely moment where chance and soul collide. It’s how Mel and Alexandra met, and it’s how our work comes to life. We try not to over-plan; instead, we let each piece evolve until it feels right. What you see here is a blend of years of practice and the simple joy of creating. We just dive in, play with the materials, and leave the door open for serendipity.

My work balances playful exploration with a measured touch. My style stays loose and expressive when painting with oils and acrylics, yet I find a magic in the fluid, smaller lines that weave through my portraiture. Whether I’m putting pen to paper or brush to canvas, I aim for a result that feels both intentional and energetic. My creative process is a dance between discipline and discovery. By blending a fine art foundation with online art classes, I stay a student of the moment—ensuring my work remains modern, evolving, and grounded in the craft.

Nature lover and fanatical photographer I feel I see things often unseen. I work mainly in oils and watercolours, my aim is to capture the essence of nature and wonder. Keeping my background in textiles alive with free-style tapestries using found and recycled items shows sustainability can be beautiful. I am currently studying for an MA in Fine Art with Falmouth University which is challenging my creativity in new ways.Ultimately, my work is an attempt to translate sensory and emotional responses to the environment into material form—threads, pigments, and images woven together to capture fleeting moments.
