Join us for an evening of musical theatre, jazz and pop songs performed by an eclectic mix of clients and performers supported by a live band made up of West End musicians. However, don’t expect to be hearing the classics and anything from Phantom, Hairspray or Les Mis. Expect a varied programme of the lesser known, possibly quirky and hidden gems of musical theatre that will make you laugh, cry, contemplate and give your Spotify some serious street cred!
James Hall is an accomplished musical director, singing teacher, educator and piano accompanist with over a decade of experience immersed in musical theatre. Known for his expertise in piano accompaniment, and voice pedagogy he has dedicated his career to nurturing the next generation of performers and providing excellent musical services in collaboration with industry professionals on everything from one off concerts to UK tours. His arrangements and compositions have been heard both in the UK and Off Broadway and have been praised for their detail and dramatic relevance.
As a regular face around many UK drama schools James often plays for auditions and collaborates on creative and musical projects. He teaches technical singing, repertoire, acting through song and musicianship. Alongside this, he runs a successful private studio in Redhill and Surbiton with students obtaining places at top drama schools/universities and clients performing all over the world. James is currently the musical director/supervisor for Blue Fire Theatre Company, Jazzish and Vinny Coyle.
