Marking a special milestone in both local heritage and musical history, Riverhouse Barn is hosting a commemorative fundraising concert that reimagines the original 1986 Quartet Amongst the Puddles, which fundraised and helped transform an 18th-century barn into today’s vibrant performing arts venue.
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the completion of the floor, this concert blends nostalgia with community spirit, inviting past and present audiences to reconnect, celebrate, and support the future of this cherished cultural hub.
The musicians for this special event will be the Quartet Concrète, a string quartet formed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Known for their expressive performances and strong ensemble chemistry, they have quickly established a reputation as an exciting young chamber group, with appearances at venues such as St James’s Piccadilly and Conway Hall.
Having performed at Riverhouse Barn last summer in a popular lunchtime concert, many regular audience members will already be familiar with the quartet’s excellence—making their return for this anniversary celebration all the more fitting.
