MIKE GUNN’s history is as interesting and entertaining as his comedy. A misspent youth and a series of grim jobs cultivated his cynical outlook on life and a perverse desire led him to the world of stand-up. A self-confessed pessimist, he describes himself as “not a natural choice for a career in laughter”. He has a rare ability to walk close to the line of what audiences find acceptable and yet still remain likable and funny. His reputation for being a bit unfriendly, a touch dark and even morose is really not true. In real life he’s loving, warm and philanthropic. Just a bit misunderstood!

Also featuring WENDY WASON, an acclaimed Scottish comedian, actress and writer with a formidable career spanning stand-up, television, film and theatre. A naturally charismatic live performer and gifted storyteller, Wendy combines sharp observational comedy with warmth, intelligence and the kind of effortless audience connection that comes from years spent on stage. She has become a hugely experienced presence on the UK comedy circuit, performing at all the top venues. She has taken multiple critically acclaimed solo shows to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and performed internationally, including appearances at the New York Comedy Festival and on NBC’s Last Comic Standing in the US. Alongside stand-up, Wendy has an extensive acting career with television credits including Sherlock, The IT Crowd, Coupling, Midsomer Murders, Broken News and After You’ve Gone, and has worked alongside some of the biggest names in British and international film and television.

Our MC, British stand-up comedian, actor, improviser, and presenter BEN VAN der VELDE is known for his razor sharp quick-witted crowd work and spontaneous audience interaction. Fast-paced, spontaneous, and heavily focused on audience interaction and improvised riffs. Ben can be seen regularly hosting other top clubs like The Comedy Store, The Glee Club, Top Secret Comedy and Just The Tonic.
PLUS - just announced and introducing MATT ROUSE! With his engaging comic style and captivating stage presence, Matt is a new name making big moves in stand up. Winner of a prestigious new act competition and nominated for the BBC New Comedy Awards, the rising star has become known for his fresh viewpoint and cleverly packaged strong material. Matt has performed stand-up on the BAFTA-winning The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan (C4). His mix of infectious charm and sharp wit is fast securing his position as a major new talent to watch.
