Led by trombonist Simon Wyld, The Louisiana Rhythm Kings perform the jazz of the 1920s and 30s, capturing the exciting sounds of New Orleans, Chicago and New York. Their repertoire features the music of Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver, Louis Armstrong and Bix Beiderbecke. Influences of the American revivalists Muggsy Spanier and Bunk Johnson can be heard, as well as the bands of the British Trad boom such as Chris Barber and Acker Bilk.
